Book Review - Mirror, Mirror (Disney Twisted Tales) by Jen Calonita

What if the Evil Queen poisoned the prince? Anyone who knows me know that I love fairytales, and retellings are one of my favorite ways to explore the stories. Mirror Mirror throws the traditional storyline of Snow White through the looking glass with the Prince being poisioned by the Evil Queen instead. The alternating between the Evil Queen and Snow White was done very well and overall was an easy read. Having a strong female protagonist is a must have nowadays so I was pleasantly surprised to see an independence to Snow White that other retellings haven't focused on before. I also enjoyed that romance was more of a subplot than the main focus, especially as this is a middle grade book. I highly recommend this book to any that enjoy fairytales and mid-level stories. I give this book 4 stars.
